Milton R. Sheen begins his listings in the Philadelphia city directories with an occupational note of contractor and continues with that listing through 1916. In 1917 Sheen becomes a partner with
Arthur B. Gill in
Sheen & Gill, architects with offices at 823 Heed Building, but in 1918 Sheen appears as a joiner and by 1919 has returned to his earlier contractor designation. In 1922 Sheen converts to inventor and remains so through 1930.
