Perhaps the most influential Wilmington, DE, firm of the mid-twentieth century, this office moved from Massachusetts to Delaware in 1935. Their prolific and successful partnership turned out residences, churches, schools, clubhouses, and many other building types, chiefly in Delaware. However, their most visible contributions to Delaware architecture were probably the Delaware Art Museum in Wilmington and the office block and visitor's pavilion for Winterthur Museum in Winterthur, DE.
