Although Harry Edward Weir, who studied engineering at the University of Pennsylvania, is noted as an engineer for most of his listings in the Philadelphia city directories from 1904 to 1918, his occupation is given as architect in 1909, 1912, and 1914. In 1908 he is noted as being a partner in the firm of Weir & Folsom, an architectural firm which he owned with Donald N. Folsom. By 1917 Weir was consulting engineer for the Borough of Stone Harbor, NJ and resided in Wildwood, NJ.
