The brickmaker Daniel Pegg, Jr., was the son of Daniel, Sr. and Martha (Allen) Pegg. He inherited the brickkiln from his father and it is known that he supplied the bricks for the garden wall at the State House. In 1724 he supplied 7,500 bricks for a Friends Meeting House, and in 1729 he advertised for sale "the Great Brick House at the North End of Philadelphia, with gardens, Orchard, Thirty Acres of Upland, Meadow-Ground, and Marsh; as also a good Cart and Gears, with four good roan Horses, and Hay to serve them all Winter."
