This represents an expansion of the already well-established Homsey firm of Wilmington, DE. After 1962 the office designed the American Embassy in Teheran, Iran (1964), the lecture hall at Winterthur Museum, and the renovations and expansion to the the Delaware Art Museum. After Victorine and Samuel E. Homsey retired in 1979, the firm became Homsey Architects, Inc., led by their son Eldon Du Pont Homsey and Richard L. Dayton.
