Originally part of Daniel Burnham's office, Chicago architect Edward H. Bennett participated in the 1906 T-Square Club/Philadelphia Chapter AIA annual exhibition. Bennett would establish an independent office in 1909. Excelling in city planning, Bennett was hired in 1926 to advise on the location of federal buildings in Washington, DC, particularly in the Federal Triangle neighborhood.
