Born: 1853, Died: 1906

New York architect Stanford White, chiefly known for his work with the illustrious McKim, Mead & White was also associated with sculptor Augustus Saint-Gaudens. In Philadelphia he and Saint-Gaudens designed the Garfield Memorial in Fairmount Park, with Saint-Gaudens supplying the design for the sculpture while White concentrated on the base.
