Daniel T. Henon was the younger brother of theater and Catholic church architect Paul J. Henon, Jr. Listed as early as 1918 in the Philadelphia city directories as a contractor, Daniel T. Henon was associated by 1920 with builder W. Edward Pierce in the Pierce Henon Co., a firm which benefited from connections to Hoffman-Henon Co., Architects.
By 1923 Daniel T. Henon had joined his brother in Hoffman-Henon Co. as vice-president and later secretary/treasurer of the company. Following William Hoffman's death in 1925, the brothers continued to use the Hoffman name in the firm, but Daniel's role was more widely recognized.
