Born in Philadelphia, PA, Leonard Evantash completed a B. Arch. at the University of Pennsylvania in 1950 after serving in the U.S. Engineering Corps in World War II. In 1958, he and Stanley M. Freidman formed Evantash & Friedman in Philadelphia, a firm specializing in commercial projects, particularly shopping malls. Evantash joined the national AIA in 1962 and was a member of the Philadelphia Chapter.
