Charles Sidney, son of James C. Sidney, appears in Philadelphia city directories as an architect from 1869 to 1874, with an office address at 204 South 5th Street. From 1875 to 1877 he lists himself in the directores as an advertising agent and in 1878 as a civil engineer. From 1891 to 1896 a Charles Sidney also appears as an architect in New York city directories; however, a connection between the two has not been established.
