Herman E. Kleinfelder worked for some 50 years for the firm of Furness, Evans & Co., remaining after the death of Frank Furness in 1912, along with Allen Evans, George Casey, Charles Willing, and George Howe. Unlike both Willing and Howe, however, Kleinfelder did not leave the firm until approximately the mid-1930s, when he transferred to the office of Frank Hahn and subsequently retired to Tucson, AZ, where he died only a few months after his old partner George Casey.
