Architect and civil engineer, Reuben Beard alternates between the two occupations in the Philadelphia city directories between 1915 and 1930. In 1935/36 his occupation is given as "bakery," and no information is available to explain this change in employment. Project references from the Philadelphia Real Estate Record and Builders Guide begin in 1914 and continue through 1928, with the last noting an office address in Chester, PA and an affiliation with A. Coshland.
