Born:
1867
Altoona, PA, architect Julian Millard was born in Three Rivers, MI, and studied at the University of Michigan and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He served as Professor of Architecture at the University of Pennsylvania for nine years and distinguished himself also as the founder of the architectural drawing program at the Pennsylvania Museum and School of Industrial Arts. This program began as an evening course in fall, 1892, and one of the students was Julian Abele.
Millard joined the AIA in 1920.
