Albert F. Dagit, son of prominent Philadelphia liturgical architect Henry D. Dagit and Josephine Conway Dagit, was born in Philadelphia and graduated from West Philadelphia Catholic High School. He received his B. S. in Architecture from the University of Pennsylvania in 1922 and immediately entered his father's firm, revising the name to Henry D. Dagit & Sons. He remained with his father's firm until 1959, when he established his own independent firm, Dagit Associates, with offices in King of Prussia, PA.
