Baltimore, MD native Gordon W. Chesser, son of Warren D. Chesser, attended high school in Wilmington, DE before he earned an undergraduate degree at the University of Delaware. He went on to study architecture at the University of Pennsylvania, completing a B. Arch. in 1942. He earned an Alumni Medal for Efficiency in Sketch Problems in 1940. Chesser remained in the Philadelphia area. According to his Philadelphia Inquirer obituary, Chesser was associated with the firm of Harbeson, Hough, Livingston, and Larson, although the period of his employment or association is apparently undocumented. At the end of his life, Chesser was a resident of Haverford, PA.
