Born: 1/26/1812, Died: 11/21/1876

Son of John Struthers, William Struthers was born in Irvine, Ayrshire, Scotland. He followed the family profession of marble mason and builder. By 1840 William Struthers was listed as a member of John Struthers & Son, marble masons. Eventually William Struthers enlarged the family business and received the marble commission for Philadelphia's City Hall.
