Born: 8/10/1887

Victor Eberhard was born in Nashville, TN, the son of architect Arnold Eberhard. He graduated from high school in Norfolk, VA, in 1904 and received his degree in architecture from Columbia University in 1910. After graduation he worked for Howells & Stokes in New York, but by 1912 he had moved to Philadelphia and was employed in the office of Magaziner & Potter. This relationship lasted until 1917, when he returned to New York to work for Trowbridge & Ackerman. By 1918, however, he was again in Philadelphia, this time in a partnership with Louis Magaziner, under the name of Magaziner & Eberhard. In 1923 the firm was expanded with the inclusion of James Russell Harris as partner, and the name revised to Magaziner, Eberhard & Harris. By 1930 this firm had also been dissolved, and Eberhard launched an independent practice. In 1939 he moved to Washington, D.C., where he continued to practice.

Eberhard joined the AIA in 1921 and also belonged to the Architectural League of New York. He was registered to practice in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, and the District of Columbia.
