J. Walter Eastburn appears in the Philadelphia city directories as an archiect from 1916 to 1936. He studied architecture at the University of Pennsylvania with the Class of 1899 but did not receive his degree. None of the city directory listings indicate an office address, but he resided in the Frankford section of Philadelphia.
One reference to a project does exist in the D'Ascenzo Stained Glass Studio records preserved at The Athenaeum. In 1917 the D'Ascenzo Studios supplied glass for the Beyer residence in Frankford, and J. Walter Eastburn is noted as the architect.
