Established by civil engineer Frank C. Roberts and later joined by John B. Miles, this firm was influential in the work of several architects, including E. V. Seeler in the city. Princeton-trained Frank C. Roberts was a leader in the iron and steel industry and excelled at designing the structures needed for Philadelphia's new tall office buildings.
