Benjamin Clark was a master house carpenter claimed as an early member of The Carpenters' Company in 1786, although no Company records survive prior to the l760s. In 1724 he married Mary Hoston from the Haddonfield, West Jersey, Monthly Meeting, by whom he had several children, including William Clark.
