Led by Joseph-Auguste-Emile Vaudremer (1829-1914), this atelier trained Philadelphia architect T. P. Chandler, as well as Chicago architect Louis Sullivan and Boston architect William Rotch Ware.
Vaudremer had won the second Grand Prix in 1954 and was appointed city architect for Paris around 1862.
