Born: 1676, Died: 8/4/1741

Although earlier credited with important work on the State House (Independence Hall), Andrew Hamilton is now usually seen as an amateur architect who contributed very little, if at all, to Philadelphia architecture. For many of the projects earlier attributed to Hamilton, a reference to Edmund Woolley is now substituted.
