Richard A. Kerns, Jr., appears in the Philadelphia city directories as an architect in 1921. Thereafter, he is listed as the president of the Wynnewood Realty Co. and of the Wynnewood Construction Co. From 1929 to 1930 he again appears as an architect, but still affiliated with the Wynnewood Realty Co. Citations for his work appear in the Philadelphia Real Record and Builders Guide from 1920 through 1928, with a few residential projects cited for the Wynnewood Realty Co. In 1934 a citation appears in the PRERBG for Kerns & Westover, a fleeting partnership with Albert E. Westover, Jr..
