[Cherry Street, Long Sketch]
Watercolor, Cherry Street, Third Prize, Birch Burdette Long Sketch Competition
J. Elvin Jackson appears in the Philadelphia city directories as an architect from 1879 to 1917. From 1919 to 1920 his occupation changes to artist in the city directories. Aside from a short partnership with J. Harris Reed under the name Jackson & Reed, Jackson appears to have worked independently, primarily designing individual residences, residential developments, and store/dwelling combinations.
