Born: 1/25/1874

Conrad F. Neff was born in Philadelphia and attended the Peirce School of Business in addition to Spring Garden Institute, where, in 1890, he won the second prize in its annual architectural drawing competition. By 1892 he was employed by W. L. Plack and in 1898, according to his Philadelphia Chapter AIA application, by John T. Windrim. He had obtained his Certificate of Proficiency from the University of Pennsylvania in 1896 and at least by 1897 was partner in a firm with Charles F. Knight (Knight & Neff), with offices at 917 North Franklin Street. From 1901 to 1913 he was employed as head draftsman for Stearns & Castor, but in 1914 he and Edward Thames established Neff & Thames, which endured through 1916. By 1917 Neff had returned to individual practice, in which he continued at least through 1935.

Neff joined the AIA in 1925.
