Born: 1887, Died: 1/4/1983

Leon J. Meyung, Sr., graduated in 1911 from the University of Pennsylvania with his B.S. in Architecture. He would live to establish three firms: Chatfield, Schlicher & Meyung; Schlicher, Meyung & Bosak; and Leon Meyung Associates. Chiefly associated with the Germantown neighborhood of Philadelphia, Meyung was extremely active in the central Germantown renewal project, even embroiling himself in arguments with the Philadelphia Redevelopment Authority and with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.
