Harrison G. Kimball was one of the casualties of the Spanish-American War. After receiving his B.S. in Architecture from the University of Pennsylvania in 1896 and being listed in the Philadelphia city directories as an architect in 1897, Kimball served in Ponce, Puerto Rico, during the war. There he contracted typhoid fever. Returning to Philadelphia in September, 1898, he entered Presbyterian Hospital, where he died a few weeks later.
