Born: 1869, Died: 1966

The office of W. Welles Bosworth trained several Philadelphia architects. Bosworth was a product of the MIT program and worked with several prominent Boston architects before moving to Europe to study painting with Alma-Tadema and architecture at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts. Afer his return he worked for Carrere & Hastings before launching his own office.

Returning to Europe during World War I, Bosworth rediscovered his love for France. After the War and a quick return home, he chose to live in France for the rest of his life, only visiting the United States for a long stay during World War II.
