Caricature of William Hewitt
(Charles Bell, c. 1906)
Philadelphia In Cartoons, as Seen by Philadelphia Newspaper Cartoonists (s.l.: s.n., 1906),
Successors to Hewitt & Paist, this firm represented the work of William D. Hewitt, Alfred Granger, formerly of Frost & Granger in Chicago, and Phineas Paist. Unfortunately, the alliance was soon interrupted by World War I; and although Granger's name remained on the office, he did not actively participate for several years. In 1914 Paist left the firm, leaving Hewitt & Granger, but this firm too lasted for less than two years.
