Named "Architect of the Century" by the AIA in 1957, Ralph Walker was a leader in the use of the Art Deco style for New York skyscrapers. His designs for the Barclay-Vesey Telephone Building (1923-1926) and the Irving Trust Building (1929-1932) were widely published. His design for the Barclay-Vesey appeared in the 1928 T-Square Club/Philadelphia Chapter AIA exhibition catalog.
