T. Veazey Craycroft came to Philadelphia from Easton, MD, to study architecture at the University of Pennsylvania, where he earned a B. Arch. in 1927. He continued his architectural education in night school at Columbia University (1928-1929), in the Parisian Ateliers of Laloux and Lemaresquier (1930-1932), and in evening classes at Johns Hopkins University (1938-1939). During his time in Paris, Craycroft associated with the office of Roger Expert; and while at Penn, he worked as a draftsman in the office of Wilson Eyre, Jr. in 1925. Craycroft then found employment in the New York offices of Sloan & Robertson in 1927 and York & Sawyer in 1939. Craycroft returned to Maryland to practice both before and after World War II, working in partnerships in Baltimore, such as that of Frederick L. W. Moehle & Associates (from 1934 - ?). He also was a named partner in at least two firms: Marshall, Bowersock, Zink & Craycroft; Marshall & Craycroft.
Craycroft joined the national AIA in 1948 and was a member of the Baltimore Chapter. He gained emeritus status in 1974.
