Born: 5/15/1915

Although better known as a Baltimore, MD, architect, Wilmer Chance was born and educated in Philadelphia. He received a B. Arch. from the University of Pennsylvania in 1947, and worked as a junior draftsman for Harbeson, Hough, Livingston & Larson from 1947 to 1950 before moving to Monroe, LA, and entering the office of Smith & Padgett. In 1953 he joined Lucius R. White, Jr., in Baltimore, remaining with that office until 1956. In 1956 he became an associate of White; and the firm name was revised to Lucius White, Edward White & Associates (1956-1961). (Edward C. White was a 1942 University of Pennsylvania graduate.) In 1961 Chance became a partner, changing the office name to Lucius White, Chance & White. This firm remained in operation through 1964.
