Born in Baltimore, MD, William D. Lambdin graduated from Cornell University in 1913. Thereafter he associated with Edward L. Palmer, Jr. in Palmer & Lamdin and Wyatt & Nolting in Baltimore.

Lamdin joined the AIA in 1921.
