Born: 10/23/1903

Born in Baltimore, MD, to Frank H. and Ida E. (Smith) Moehle, F. L. W. Moehle graduated from Baltimore Polytechnic Institute in 1921 and gained his B.E. in Civil Engineering at Johns Hopkins University in 1924. He then undertook graduate work from 1924-25, and again, on a part-time basis from 1929 to 1932, earning the Adams Prize in 1924.

Moehle's experience was gained as Chief Draftsman, Mexican Petroleum Corporation, 1925-27 and then as Principal Assistant for W. S. Austin, Baltimore, 1927-31. He organized F.L.W. Moehle & Associates in 1931 and became a partner in Zink & Moehle, from 1948-50.

Moehle also worked as an Instructor in Drawing, Maryland Institute, 1924.
