DuBois, PA, architect Russell Griffith Howard gained his B.S. in Architecture from the University of Pennsylvania in 1912, winning the Stewardson Scholarship. By 1917 he had established Harrington & Howard in DuBois, with John Peter Harrington, of the University's Class of 1911. However, Harrington would die in 1918, leaving Howard to independent practice, founding R. G. Howard & Associates.
