Roger B. Lewis, the son of Hilda and Lewis J. Lewis, trained at Pennsylvania State University, and at Columbia University, where he earned an M. Arch. He was an associate in the firm of Bower & Fradley before being made a partner in its successor, Bower Lewis Thrower. After his premature death from leukemia, the firm has retained his name in the partnership.
