Born in Woodlynne, NJ, W. Kendall Albert established himself as an architect in that state after considerable Philadelphia experience. By 1946 Albert was working in Philadelphia for Carl Ziegler (1926-1927). He then worked for Lackey & Hettel in Camden, NJ, but returned to Philadelphia in 1929 and remained, working for the office of Paul P. Cret until 1943. By 1946 he and J. R. Hettel had established Hettel & Albert, with offices in Pennsauken, NJ. Following Hettel's death in 1957, Albert continued with Albert & Michel and then launched Albert & Thomas in 1960, still in Pennsauken.
