Collection Description

The Thomas Sandby (1723-1798) Collection comprises four architectural drawings for three designs: a "Palladian Façade" (1 drawing); a Parish Church (2 drawings); and a Toll House at Staines Bridge, Middlesex (1 drawing). Sandby, a self-taught architect, was one of the founding members of the Royal Academy in London and its first professor of architecture.
