Collection Description

The collection comprises one original drawing (lithographic crayon on illustration board) by Louis I. Kahn (1901-1974) of Dr. Charles W. Burr, first professor of psychiatry at the University of Pennsylvania. The drawing shows Burr presenting a patient in the rotunda of the old Pennsylvania General Hospital. The drawing was commissioned by the Philadelphia Psychiatric Association for presentation to Dr. Burr around 1935.
