"A 2 1/2 story, 3 rank, stone dwelling w/a ground floor porch, stone lintels & sills, stone dentil cornice, gabled center wall dormer & hipped roof. A 2 1/2 story, 2 rank, stone Victorian Gothic wing composes the south facade. Originally designed in an Italian Villa style, alterataions and additions have molded it into its present eclectic state. Charles B. Dunn hired Theophilus P. Chandler, architect, to add the south wing in 1881 & remodel the main house w/a new 3 story addition & removal of the Italian Villa tower in 1916"
