The Architectural Archives of the University of Pennsylvania is one of the leading repositories of architectural drawings and records in the world. Preserving the works of more than 400 designers from the 17th century to the present, the Archives collections include over: 350,000 drawings; 100,000 photographic items; 160 models; and over 1000 cubic foot boxes of papers.
Located in the heart of West Philadelphia in the National Historic Landmark Furness Building on 34th Street, the 10,000 sq. ft. facility includes conference, storage and office spaces along with the 3,200 sq. ft. Kroiz Gallery. The Archives is open throughout the year and accomodates thousands of visitors -- students, preservationists, historians, and architectural practitioners -- from every corner of the world.
