Papers of William Penn and the Penn family, James Logan and the Logan family, Norris, Pemberton, Drinker, Shippen, Cadwalader, Coxe, Biddle families, Benjamin Franklin, John Dickinson, James Wilson, George Mifflin Dallas, James Buchanan, Jay Cooke, Salmon P. Chase, John Welsh, J. Hampton Moore, Albert M. Greenfield, Joseph Sill Clark; Bank of the United States, Hollingsworth, Cope, Potts, John Wanamaker store, as well as insurance survey records of several Philadelphia insurance companies; Pennsylvania Abolition Society, American Negro Historical Society, Society for Organizing Charity, Indian Rights Association, Pennsylvania Prison Society, Lighthouse, League of Women Voters (Philadelphia and Pennsylvania), Philadelphia Print Club; Gratz and Dreer autograph collections include American and European authors, artists, scientists, musicians, politicians and other public figures. Also prints, photographs, architectural drawings and maps, especially Delaware Valley materials.
