- Jeffrey A. Cohen cites information regarding Hamilton's contribution to the Pennsylvania statehouse (Independence Hall) design and attributes an early drawing of that structure to Hamilton. In Cohen's words: "Such details tend to affirm the attribution to Hamilton of this parchment plan, which may well be, as has been suggested, part of the set he presented to the Pennsylvania Assembly in August 1732."
