Comments

"Frederick McOwen's place lies in Overbrook Farms. The house is on Drexel Road, at the corner of Fifty-ninth Street. Wendell & Smith were the contractors, but the building was erected by Mr. McOwen from the plans of Thomas P. Lonsdale, the architect for the Philadelphia building at the World's Fair at Chicago. It is of stone, in Colonial style, with a Grecian extension porch and a front porch and dormer-windows. The view commands the Delaware River and New Jersey, as the point is a high location."
